HUNIADI CANTORES - Renaissance music
Founded in December 2006 by Mircea Goian, the group's aims are: promoting the image of the Huniad Castle, spreading local legends and history by means of musical pieces from the Renaissance period, when life at the castle was particularly glamorous. The repertoire of HUNIADI CANTORES includes pieces written for kings, queens, princes, as well as for the poor. As in the 1500's, at the Huniad Castle lived and sang Lantos Sebestyén TINÓDI, a minstrel famous both in Transylvania and Hungary, the group also plays a piece composed by him after the battle of Mohács (1526).
The costumes, inspired from the volume The History of the Costume, were created by artist Constantin Zgâmbău and sewn in the workshop of a fashion company from Hunedoara.
